Dharma Friendship Statement Responds to Violence and Hate Directed at AAPI Community

Everyday racism and violence against Asian American, Pacific Islander individuals and groups continues and increases in intensity, with this latest incident in Atlanta being the most visible one. Our hearts go out to the victims, families, and friends of those killed, and we condemn this senseless violence.

We continue to urge our community not to tolerate racist and violent behavior against AAPI community members. Blame, hate, and violence must stop.

Let us keep reaching out to our AAPI community members, friends, and family and ensure that they receive support throughout these challenging times. Let us speak up and act when we hear hate speech and see hate crimes. We can also donate to AAPI organizations like Stop AAPI Hate at stopaapihate.org

May the victims of this crime rest in peace.
