Chenresig practice and study group

April/May:
Monday nights at 7:00-8:45 pm

During Venerable's absence, the Monday night class will be a student-led Chenresig practice and study group. Text: Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand -- Pabongka Rinpoche's 1921 teaching on the entire Lam Rim. Rinpoche taught for 24 days to an audience of over 700 lamas and practitioners. The text is the most comprehensive and detailed guide to the Lam Rim available in English, illustrated by analogies, conclusive formal logic, amazing stories and trustworthy quotations. Trijang Rinpoche says about the experience of hearing these teachings,

It was beneficial for the mind because it was so inspiring. Sometimes we were moved to laughter, becoming wide awake and alive. Sometimes we were reduced to tears and cried helplessly.

The Lam Rim is the entirety of the Buddha's teachings synthesized into an orderly progression of teachings and meditations which help us achieve higher and higher levels of compassionate and wisdom consciousnesses. From the point where we now are, we travel the path to eventual complete enlightenment, leaving behind suffering and developing the ability to deeply benefit others as we grow.
